About Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards

Todd Anderson's 40-acre estate, set east of St. Helena where Conn Creek Flows out of Howell Mountain, has some swanky neighbors in Joseph Phelps and Joseph Heitz. Here he produces a rich, non-malolactic Chardonnay, a Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and his heavy-weights, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve and Eloge, a deep, rich blend of Cabernet and Cabernet Franc, with superb aging potential.

We opened this bottle last week and I didn't remember the price or any tasting notes. What a pleasant surprise! This was a great, bold Cab blend that had a great, strong nose and a wonderful finish. My regret is not ordering more when I had the opportunity. I also regret sharing with too many others! I look forward to letting this bottle mature a few years, but it drinks well now..
Top-notch

This 2009 rendition of Anderson's Conn Valley Bordeaux blend presents a complete package. Spicy aromas on the nose. Massive concentration does not obscure the sturdy well-balanced frame punctuated by supple but omnipresent tannins.
Absolute Powerhouse!

Loved the description of this wine & the varietal mix even better! This wine can certainly play with the other Big Napa cabs any day, but contains super extraction & mouthwatering flavors from the other varietals. I will definitely by purchasing other Conn Vally offerings & a little upset I only have 3 bottle left of this one! A must buy...

Always one of my favorite Napa wines since I tasted the 2001 at the winery years ago. This one is surprisingly accessible already. Two thumbs up.
Lives up to the name

Beautiful elegant nose. Taste is beautiful and does live up to the right bank billing despite the extra Cab Franc ratio (60%). Lush, and complex, with lots of fruit but a nice core of structure, but no overwhelming oak or anything to interfere. Long finish. 94pts

Excellent deep rich taste with tannins a bit young but over time will soften....I plan to hold this for a while before I drink more.
A softball.

Color very dark, black, pink edge. Aroma spicy without fruit. Smooth, supple, little acid or tannin. I much prefer the "Eloge"

Opaque to the edge. Great color and nose. Well balanced fruit. A bit early for my taste but look forward to cellaring and expect enhanced development over time... Nice job WineAccess.

About Napa Valley

Napa Valley is the most famous wine-growing area in the U.S. It begins at the base of Mount St. Helena in the north and tapers off some 30 miles to the south into the floodplain where the Napa River enters San Francisco Bay. From Mount St. Helena to the city of Napa, the valley is defined by two north-south ridgelines of the Coast Range Mountains.
