I'm in the process of re-ordering. This has good balance, good fruit and a clarity of taste that is one of the tops in my zin list. Goes well with any meal and has a good vibrancy.
Amazing wine at great value

I have purchased wine here many times and have always found my expectations were high and the wine exceeded them. This case was one of my very favorites!
superb

I was impressed with the 2008 and the 2009 is just as good. It is one of the tastiest, smoothest zins that I have drunk in the 50+ years that I have been doing so!

Got this at BevMo at a end of vintage sale for $8.00 I wish they had more. Great fruit, nice finish. A very nice Zin, and worth a lot more than I paid.

Great with a grilled ribeye!
Excellent purchase

I see why this was chosen as the Zin by glass at Gary Danko. You drink so many bad Zin's that punch you in the face with alcohol you forget how good they can be. This one is great.

THIS IS WHAT A TRUE ZINFANDEL IS SUPPOSE TO TASTE LIKE....

I purchased this wine because in the review Gary Danko's restaurant was mentioned...love this restaurant and figured if it is good enough to serve at his restaurant, it's good enough for me! Because it was a moderate price, I ordered a case.

A nice Zin at a good value. Body & finish was a little lighter than the St Francis 07 Zin.

Wow, what a spectacular wine at an unbelievable price. The fruit explodes upon opening and has a soft touch to it. Wonderful.
Not up to the hype

Okay wine, but nothing special. Much rather have a Turley or Ridge Zin for the price. Outpost from Howell Mtn is pricier, but way more complex than the Teira.

Nice Zin, if a little mundane.

some bright cranberry fruit, adequate oak & tannin, bit muddy in flavor, best with food
Disappointment over description

Your statement about the Teira 09 Zin said that the vineyard from which these grapes came abutted the vineyards of A. Raffanelli, a wine we have always loved and drink regularly. Tiera 09 Zin is thin, weak in flavor, and there is no 'mouth' on it. We are so disappointed and will only redouble our annual order from Raffanelli. If the grapes come from the same soil, then the winemaker is the reason, but a good soil will still produce a wine far better than Teira. It compares to a grocery store bottle.

About California

It is remarkable that an industry essentially less than a half-century old could capture the attention of the American wine-buying public to the degree that California has. Powerful consumer interest in California wine is driven by two major factors. The more obvious reason is that California's best wines, which come from grapes grown in...

Zinfandel

Zinfandel is not the rage it was in the 1980s and early 1990s, as there are now too many wines made from overripe fruit or from young vines, or overwhelmed by excessive use of new barrels. Today's Zin styles range from elegant, taut, and claret-like midweights to superripe and potty behemoths, with off-the-charts...
