(the first year this wine was vinified here; Girardin began purchasing the grapes, from a 55-year-old selection massale, in 2009): Bright red-ruby. Slightly reduced, wild aromas of black fruits, leather and fresh blood. Dense, thick, creamy and very ripe, but with harmonious acidity giving shape and lift to the wild dark berry flavors. This distinctly fat wine finishes long and lush, with a strong tannic underpinning and very good chocolatey length.
