90-91 Points | International Wine Cellar , January 2013

(48% grenache, 40% syrah and 12% mourvedre):  Inky ruby.  Powerful, spice-accented aromas of black and blue fruits and licorice pastille.  Densely packed and broad-shouldered for the vintage, offering chewy cassis and bitter cherry flavors that are given lift and spine by juicy acidity.  Closes sappy and long, with resonating spiciness and slow-building tannins.
