(80% grenache and 20% syrah):  Opaque ruby.  Dark berries and candied flowers on the seductively perfumed nose and on the palate.  Sappy and precise, displaying slow-building sweetness and a spine of tangy acidity.  Fine-grained tannins give shape to the mpressively long, penetrating finish.  I have no doubt that this wine will age gracefully but it drinks very well now.
