Ruby-red.  Cherry and dark berry preserves on the highly perfumed nose and in the mouth.  Lush and broad but lively, with slow-building spiciness and a hint of lavender pastille.  Shows impressive clarity and cut on the finish and closes on a peppery note.  I like this wine's light touch and focus.
