About Maison Chapoutier

Maison Chapoutier, the first n├ęgociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

Expert Reviews

90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January/February 2013

(100% grenache that was raised entirely in concrete):  Bright ruby-red.  Black raspberry, lavender and spices on the fragrant nose and in the mouth.  Juicy and nicely concentrated, with strong finishing cut, lingering spiciness and integrated tannins that provide shape and grip.
