(a 70/30 combination of malbec and cabernet franc):  Deep ruby.  Blackberry, licorice and violet on the nose, complicated by an exotic jammy quality.  Then dense, backward and youthfully imploded on the palate, but with superb depth and chewy extract to the dark berry, bitter chocolate and game flavors.  Finishes with noble tannins and a palate-staining boysenberry flavor.  This blend is all from Uco Valley vineyards.  Outstanding potential and in need of at least a few years of patience.
