Clos de la Roilette bottles Gamay from 12 hectares of Fleurie's best parcels as well as a hectare in Brouilly. Since 1984, Alain Coudert has been the winemaker here, producing some of the most concentrated and weighty wines of Fleurie.

Bright violet color. Bright, mineral-driven aromas of black raspberry, cherry and fresh flowers. Opens with nervy red and dark berry skin flavors, then puts on weight in the glass, offering intense bitter cherry and dark berry flavors along with a touch of licorice pastille. The impressively long, smoky, gently tannic finish features sexy floral and spicecake qualities.
