Bright purple.  Fresh blackberry and cassis aromas are complicated by cracked pepper, violet and pungent herbs.  Suave, alluringly sweet dark berry flavors are underscored by smoky mineral and floral qualities and lifted by tangy acidity.  Grows spicier with aeration, finishing with notes of star anise and black pepper and superb length.
