(sourced from the granite-rich soils in the northern part of the appellation):  Bright purple.  Cherry, cassis, dried flowers and star anise on the high-toned nose.  Offers an array of dark fruit and spice flavors and picks up a sexy floral quality with air.  Tannins come on late and add structure to the long, smoky, spice-accented finish.  In a more serious style than the Offerus and in need of a little patience.
