Good bright ruby-red.  Pungent aromas and flavors of raspberry, game, flint and nutty oak.  Very syrah in the mouth, showing complicating notes of chocolate, mocha and sandalwood.  Sweet, pliant wine with ripe, supple tannins and excellent length.  From vines planted in the mid-1990s, according to Mike Januik.
