89(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - February 2012

Bright straw-yellow. Intense aromas of banana, creme brulee and caramel. Rich and ripe but bright thanks to harmonious acids that lift the tropical fruit, baked apple and vanilla flavors. Finishes moderately long, with a refined mouth feel. A very nicely balanced chardonnay that avoids coming off as over the top. A little more concentration and it would have merited a 90+ rating. Perhaps some additional bottle aging will bring more layers and complexity.
