(100% garnacha, fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged for 18 months in new French oak; 15.5% alcohol): Inky purple. An explosively perfumed bouquet evokes dark berry liqueur, incense and candied violet, with suave Indian spice and vanilla accents. Broad, palate-staining black and blue fruit flavors are lifted by zesty mineral and oak spice notes, showing impressive depth as well as energy. Finishes sweet, lush and impressively long, with slow-building tannins and lingering floral notes.
