Bright, full ruby-red.  Aromas of blackberry, violet, chocolate and menthol.  Firm blackberry, licorice and floral flavors are nicely framed by harmonious acidity and complicated by a saline element.  This nicely sappy, persistent bonarda displays tannins that are suave and fine for the variety.
