About Bouchard Pere et Fils
Maison Bouchard Pére et Fils was founded in 1731 by a cloth merchant from Dauphine named Michel Bouchard. By the end of his life, he had assembled the négociant operation which would grow into what is today the largest owner of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte d'Or.
2010 Bouchard Pere et Fils Volnay Taillepieds
Producer: Bouchard Pere et Fils
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Pinot Noir
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Cote de Beaune
91(+?) Points | International Wine Cellar , March/April 2013
Medium red. Complex aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, leather, truffle and smoky earth. Rich, chewy and deep, with captivating sweetness to the red fruit and spice flavors. Finishes with a kick of acidity, a saline nuance and noteworthy rising length. With extended time in the recorked bottle, this Volnay gained markedly in dusty spice character.
