Sharing this French wine before leaving for France with friends
Went to a BYOB in Chestnut Hill with friends who are traveling to France with us, so I thought it was appropriate to bring this Cotes du Rhone. Everyone who tried it gave it two big thumbs up! Everyone thought it was an excellent wine and asked me where I brought it. I told them all about Moore Brothers and how easy it was to order it. I wish I had ordered more!
The entire Rhone Valley is frequently referred to as the Cotes du Rhone, but this is also the name of the generic appellation that covers more than 100 communes in the region north of Avignon. The primary varieties cultivated here are Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Carignan. Wines simply labeled Cotes du Rhone may rank at the bottom of the hierarchy...
