About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

Dark purple. Highly fragrant aromas of candied blackberry, blueberry and licorice, with notes of vanilla, violet and cracked pepper adding complexity. Lush, intensely flavored and broad, offering intense dark berry and cherry compote flavors and an exotic floral nuance. Finishes spicy and long, with resonating spiciness and slow-building tannins.
