About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

Inky ruby. Red and dark berry preserves on the perfumed, spice-accented nose. Bitter cherry and black raspberry flavors show very good clarity and lift, with a peppery nuance adding back-end bite. The emphatically spicy finish features chewy tannins and a sexy floral pastille nuance.
