Light, bright red. Wonderful floral lift to the expressive aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, minerals and fresh flowers. Not a hugely fleshy wine but boasts an understated density and above-average precision to its vibrant red fruit flavors. Gained considerable sweetness and depth with extended aeration. Eventually I found this wine much less dark and cabernet-like than in the past, when the schiava seemed to have gone through a body-building course. Excellent.
