Dark ruby. Cassis, violet and cocoa on the perfumed, forward nose. Rich, dense and suave in the mouth, with blackberry and cocoa flavors carrying very well on the smooth, long finish. This is a remarkably successful merlot for FVG, where it is often too wet for the grape to ripen fully. This wine has a creamy mouthfeel as well as the structure to age well.
