92(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - March/April 2012

Deep, opaque inky ruby. Still closed nose hints at ripe blackberry, dark plum, sage and nutmeg. Smooth and dense on entry, with rich flavors of cocoa and tar framing ripe red cherry and cassis fruit. Very smooth and long on the finish. One of the best Capitel Monte Olmis of recent memory; it also holds the advantage over many Amarones that it is very well balanced and easy to drink.
