(77% zinfandel, 16% syrah and 7% mourvedre): Dark ruby. High-pitched, floral aromas and flavors of redcurrant and cherry, with an exotic touch of Asian spices. Sappy and pure, displaying a silky texture and impressive energy. Notes of licorice and allspice come up with air and carry through the long, spicy, seamless finish. There's a pinot-like elegance to this wine that I find fascinating and inviting.
