Dark ruby.  Black cherry, menthol, licorice and cedar on the rather oak-dominated nose.  Then tight and on the lean side, showing modest lift and flesh to its medicinal blackcurrant and cedar flavors.  Finishes with substantial dusty tannins.  As with so many 2011s, I wanted more flesh and fruit; this comes off as rigid and lacking in generosity.
