90 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
Deep red. Dark berries and cherry on the powerful, fruit-driven nose and in the mouth. Juicy and expansive, with very good clarity and breadth and appealing sweetness. Notes of boysenberry and cherry liqueur linger on the long, spice-accented finish. No shortage of fruit here; this is easily the best basic bottling from Foris I've ever had.

First tasting

We cracked open 3 bottles for a dinner party of Mushroom soup and Pork Tenderloin en croute. The wine complimented both excellently. I allowed the wine to breath for several hours and then poured it through a vinturi aerator. Everone agreed that it was one of the very best Pinots we had had.
Great Value

Good color, strong cherry at front, not a long finish.
Drinkable Pinot

Some bright cherry up front but no real body. Not that it was terrible, just not a dazzler: very middle of the road. But, at this very low price, I think its safe to say that it met expectations.
really a 3.5 not a 3.

but that's not to say it isn't decent. it was thin and a lot of alcohol on the nose up front. after getting some air for 30-45min it became pleasant enough.
Disappointed

Expected more from Oregon fruit. A bit of strawberry on the nose, but the wine is a bit flat on tasting. Expected a more distinctive and flavorful wine.
Inconsistent

We have consumed half of the case and five bottles were very good but one was off and not drinkable.
