92 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - March 2013

(a blend of 80% carmenere and 20% cabernet sauvignon, aged in 50% new French oak):  Dark purple.  A complex spice- and smoke-accented bouquet evokes black and blue fruits, licorice, cocoa powder and incense.  Suave and expansive on the palate, offering sweet blueberry and cherry-vanilla flavors that pick up a peppery quality with air.  Closes on a juicy note, with gentle tannins and impressive persistence.
