About Harlan Estate
In 1983, when Bill Harlan bought an estate in a steep, forested area of Oakville, his aim was to create a Napa Valley First Growth. Whether he has come that far is open to argument, but he certainly has come close.
92(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2012
Full ruby. Very expressive aromas of black cherry, cassis, minerals and wild herbs. Sweet and vibrant but youthfully closed, conveying an impression of coiled energy. Finishes very long, with vibrant black fruit flavors and tannins that coat the front teeth. This impressively long wine is balanced from the start.
