90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - August 2012

(a 70/30 blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot):  Purple-ruby.  Black fruit aromas are complicated by notes of vanillin oak, ink, fresh herbs and baking spices.  Sappy, expansive and deep in blackberry and blueberry flavor, with supple tannins adding shape to the persistent, floral finish.  One of the better young Le Stanze bottlings I can recall at a similar stage of development.
