Elegant Chilean Beauty
11/15/2012
by Thumper 12141604
Lush, soft but not jammy, this Chilean Pinot Noir recalls the delicate PN's crafted before "Sideways." Sadly, the post "Sideways" increase in demand for PN led many vintners to add Syrah with a heavy hand to stretch volume. Not so with this delicious beauty. Better after considerable decanting, it marries well with a large range of meats, cheeses and even some stronger tasting fishes. The palate of berries, cherries, licorice, cigar box, and a bit of spice leads to a sophisticated controlled tannins finish. Serve it confidently as an elegant aperitif. Recommended without reservation. A repeat buy in our house.
