(70% grenache, 15% syrah, 10% carignan and 5% mourvedre):  Bright purple.  Potent smoke- and spice-accented aromas of dark berry preserves and licorice, with a subtle floral topnote.  Sappy and precise on the palate, offering bitter cherry and blackberry flavors and a touch of medicinal herbs.  Closes with firm grip and very good spicy cut, with silky tannins adding shape.
