(85% grenache and 15% syrah):  Bright purple.  Heady aromas of candied red and dark berries, with notes of potpourri and smoky minerals adding complexity.  At once rich and energetic, offering fresh black raspberry and cherry compote flavors that stain the palate.  Closes down with air and finishes with youthful tannic grip and lingering spiciness.  Very promising but in need of at least three years of patience.
