(a 50/50 blend of merlot and cabernet franc):  Deep ruby-red.  Violet and black cherry aromas are complicated by coffee.  Bright and fresh in the mouth, with juicy black fruit flavors joined by coffee and cocoa.  Finishes smooth and lively, with very good persistence and subtle oakiness (the wine spent nine months in 300-hectoliter barrels).
