87 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2013

(50% merlot, 40% cabernet sauvignon and 10% cabernet franc):  Bright, dark red.  Aromas of black cherry, currant and graphite show a slightly grapey character.  Supple and sweet on the palate, offering a distinctly creamy quality to the flavors of redcurrant, herbs, cola and sassafras.  Finishes with strong spicy oak tannins that turned drier as the wine opened in the glass.  Ultimately less sweet than the 2010.
