Deep violet color.  Highly expressive aromas of red and dark berry preserves, violet, licorice and smoky minerals.  Deeply pitched black raspberry and cherry compote flavors are given spine and lift by juicy acidity.  Offers a deft blend of richness and energy and finishes with impressive clarity, power and length.  The Labruyere family also owns the important Domaine Jacques Prieur in Burgundy's Cote d'Or and these wines are made by that estate's winemaker, Nadine Gublin.

Made from the Gamay grape, the red wines of Beaujolais are mostly exuberantly fruity and brisk wines that are often served lightly chilled for added refreshment.
