About Domaine Marcel Lapierre
From its eleven granitic hectares of vines (average age: 45 years), Lapierre makes deeply concentrated and unusually powerful Morgon that is considered by some to be the best in the village that boasts the greatest number of serious producers in Beaujolais.
88 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - March 2012
(note that the "X" indicates "10," as in 2010): Medium red. Fresh red and dark berry aromas and flavors are complemented by notes of white pepper, cinnamon and candied violet. Juicy, focused and light on its feet, with nervy acidity adding lift and back-end cut. Extremely easy to drink owing to its exuberant, fruit-dominated character and finishing bite.
