Clos de la Roilette bottles Gamay from 12 hectares of Fleurie's best parcels as well as a hectare in Brouilly. Since 1984, Alain Coudert has been the winemaker here, producing some of the most concentrated and weighty wines of Fleurie.

Bright purple. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes fresh red and dark berries, candied rose and Asian spices. Sappy, sharply focused raspberry and cherry flavors stain the palate, complemented by notes of star anise and blood orange. Powerful but elegant Beaujolais, finishing with excellent clarity and a long, mineral-dominated finish.
