Dark ruby.  Sexy aromas of dark fruits, spices and minerals complicated by a pungent floral note and subtle earth tones.  Dense and suave in the mouth but at the same time light on its feet, offering fresh high notes of redcurrant and violet.  Boasts outstanding clarity of flavor and inner-mouth lift thanks to lively acidity, which gives the wine an almost tart quality.  Finishes with smooth tannins and very good length.  My original impression from the Primeurs stands:  this is a very successful HBL.
