Bright, dark ruby.  Exotic nose is dominated by sweet blueberry and candied violet.  Sweet and plump in the mouth, with black fruit and floral flavors.  Finishes with ripe tannins and decent length.  Very fine clay on calcaire; "It reminds me of Clos Fourtet," said consulting winemaker Julien Lavenu, who is part of Stephane Derenoncourt's talented team. "The drainage is so good that 15 minutes after it rains you can drive a tractor through the vineyards without any problems."
