(70% merlot and 30% cabernet franc; 45 h/h):  Bright ruby.  Forward, fruity, charming aromas of red berries and sweet spices.  Bright and fresh but soft in the mouth, with good carry to the flavors of strawberry, flowers and white pepper.  Not the last word in complexity but immensely enjoyable  Teyssier has 25 hectares of vines on sand and gravel soil close to Monbousquet, yet the vines did not suffer at all during the dry, warm springtime conditions because the estate did not de-leaf.
