Bright ruby.  Austere but refined nose of cassis, minerals and cedar.  Tight and linear on the palate, with a strong mineral overlay to the flavors of blackcurrant, blackberry and aromatic spices.  Very precise, laser-like delivery of fresh fruits and minerals on the long finish, which also shows a persistent note of violet.  Another very good wine from Hélène Garcin in 2011:  less extracted than in years past and more graceful and charming.
