About Saintsbury
In 1977, David Graves and Richard Ward met for the first time in a oenology class at UC Davis. Both Pinot Noir lovers, they decided to start bottling their own. By 1981 they had released their first vintage, 2000 cases from purchased Carneros grapes.

Producer: Saintsbury
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Pinot Noir
Origin: California
Region: Other California
Appellation: Carneros
88 Points | International Wine Cellar , May/June 2012
Bright medium red. Expressive pinot aromas of cherry, spices, herbs and black tea complicated by licorice and mint. Spicy, smooth and pliant in the mouth; offers moderate depth and nuance but good varietal accuracy, with light herbal and minty notes providing lift. Should be flexible at the dinner table.
