Bright red.  Smoke- and spice-accented aromas of raspberry, cherry and licorice, with a floral quality building with air.  Dense and chewy in texture, showing sappy red and dark berry flavors and complicating notes of bitter chocolate and gunpowder tea.  Silky tannins give gentle grip to the long, sweet, expansive finish.  This wine will benefit greatly from decanting.
