Good full red. Maraschino cherry, spices and orange zest on the slightly roasted nose. Dense, juicy and liqueur-like, with bracing peppery acidity framing the red cherry and currant flavors. A slightly medicinal style that turned increasingly stewy as it opened in the glass, with the tannins taking on a dry quality. Not my favorite style of zinfandel.
