(15.8% alcohol; this vineyard was reportedly "replanted" in the 1880s):  Good medium red.  Fruit-driven aromas of crushed cherry, licorice and dried herbs; liqueur-like without being at all cooked or tired.  Rich, sweet and seamless; an appealing red fruit bomb in the mouth.  Zinfandel in a round, plush style but with good verve.  Finishes with fine-grained tannins and persistent cherry fruit.  Not quite as complex as the Moore, and a bit less sweet on the back end.
