Hazy gold. Pungent, deeply pitched aromas of poached pear, fig and lemon curd, with a smoky overtone and a hint of iodine. Lush, palate-coating orchard fruit and honey flavors show good heft and pick up a hint of anise on the back half. Sappy and clinging on the finish, which features notes of chamomile and toasty lees.
