(made with 100% whole clusters and raised in neutral French oak):  Inky ruby.  High-pitched aromas of red- and blackcurrant, cherry skin and dried flowers, with a peppery overtone.  Nervy, precise dark fruit flavors are complemented by candied rose and chewing tobacco, with a slow-building spiciness.  Closes on a gently sweet note, with very good clarity and fruity persistence.  (JR)
