Opaque ruby. Cherry-vanilla, blackberry and woodsmoke on the pungent, oak-spiced nose. Broad, palate-coating dark fruit flavors show very good intensity and a touch of bitter chocolate. In a generous style, with plenty of sexy oak, but I wonder if the fruit is up to the lumber. The sweet finish features lingering smoke and vanilla qualities.
