89 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2013

(a Cape blend of 44% pinotage, 41% cabernet sauvignon, 9% merlot and 6% cabernet franc; aged in two- and three-year-old barrels):  Good full, deep red.  Aromas and flavors of plum, cranberry, chocolate, smoke, herbs and spices.  Ripe and lush but dry, with a lightly herbaceous quality providing lift.  Finishes with broad, fine-grained tannins and noticeable sweet oak.
