Pleasent French wine

Never tried a wine from France before I was pleasantly surprised and would not hesitate to buy this one again. Wes. from Pa.
Memories in a Glass
by Jones11690321
I enjoyed my first experience with Sancerre during a business dinner in Chateauroux which is south of Orleans. I was having sole meuniere and thought a good Pouilly Fuisse or a Fume Blanc would be the perfect match. No, no said my french companions, you must have this meal with a Sancerre! As I sipped on this 2011 Crochet Sancerre I remembered why my french companions were so insistent. Fruit was ample and full but not to flowery or sweet, fruit was well balanced with a strong acid backbone, and the finish was all Sancerre minerality. It was just as good with my blackened catfish as it was with the sole so many years ago. Memories in a glass.
No flaws at all.

Truly representative of Sancerre at it's best. Clean, well bodied and just the right amount of sweetness. Very, very enjoyable.
