(50% cabernet sauvignon, 20% each petit verdot and merlot, plus 10% syrah; this is the new label for the wine formerly called "Ode to Picasso"):  Sweet black fruit, licorice and mineral scents are lifted by violet and minty perfume.  Lush and seamless but with surprising grip to the creamy, broad flavors of cassis and chocolate.  Wonderfully broad, lively wine finishing with suave, firm tannins and excellent verve and length.
