Pale yellow. Intense aromas of pear skin, fig, anise, iodine and smoky herbs. Rich, silky and spicy, offering expansive orchard and citrus fruit pith flavors and intense mineral and floral notes. Closes dry and firm, with excellent clarity and length, leaving mineral and dried pear notes behind. This structured wine, which was made from yields of less than two tons per acre according to Davis, should reward at least another five years of aging.
